don't you think your stuffs are abit too expensive? cookies at 3 for a dollar, nutella muffins at $2 each. Its not like you own a cafe or anything. What's the reason you're not selling them cheaper? To make more profit?

  2. Dear Amelia,

Thank you for voicing out your concern. My prices have remained the same.

If you do a check on other online bakeries/food blogs, their prices are actually higher than mine. Indeed, I don't own a cafe, but my prices might seem expensive to you because you don't know what goes into the things I bake.

You see, Amelia, I only use quality ingredients. I don't believe in stinging. Take for example, my chunky choc cookies contain dark chocolate I chop up - I don't use cheap chocolate chips or low grade chocolate. I refuse to compromise on the quality of my baked goods. Likewise, my oatmeal cookies contain toasted wheatgerm I buy, and I don't use low grade butter.

Honestly, I'm doing this not for the profits - I post all my recipes on my blog and I encourage people to try baking it themselves but I know some don't have an oven or simply don't have time to bake, therefore, I help bake them. Baking takes up time and resources and I'm also not doing this full time. I'm a student. I need to survive and break even. I don't come from a rich family and my parents only give me a fixed monthly allowance for food and transport. I earn my keep and I try not to burden my parents who have to support my other siblings. I could actually have gotten a holiday job which ensures me a more stable income and a less labourious one - however, I take joy in knowing that others will be able to enjoy my baked goods.

Do feel free to ask any one who've tried my baked goods to see if they think it's worth it.

Amelia, thanks for reading this. Hope I've answered your questions :)

I see. Thanks for answering my doubt. Not that there is anything with your prices, since no matter how cheap/expensive they are, there'll always be people who will buy. Just that i was wondering, will people really care about what goes inside the goodies? Some may just be put off by the price. But then again I guess you can't please everybody. Your cakes and cookies do look good I must say. Thanks.

  4. Cheryl..i think your pricing are perfectly ok. In the market, muffins are even priced at a higher price like $3 for one and some cookies at priced at @1.50 each though they are rather big. However, they may be on the display for several days before a potential customer buys them.

You did clarified some of my doubts too! Thanks for the honesty displayed. :)
